I thought the sunset this evening was beautiful.

I've finally been defeated in a speed eating contest. Previously Michael and I have sparred in a sushi volume eating contest, which he prevailed (barely); tonight we tried the 9 pigs in a blanket speed contest. He beat me by 2 dogs, finishing in at 49.17 seconds.

Caroline, Sydney and I went the Winston-Salem Symphony/High Point Ballet production of Alice and Wonderland and Peter and the Wolf. I can't say enough good things about it - the performance was flawless, it held the kids' attention, and the traffic out was easy to deal with. We're excited for the next kid-centric concert in the series.

We didn't eat here.

Time for a nap.

Every hotel room we stay in has attractive-nuisance spaced beds. How can a pre-schooler resist jumping between them? We got angry and made Caroline stop until we realized we'd be doing exactly the same thing if they were spaced further apart and we weren't broken by old age.

Aunt Cristen and her fiance Uncle Jason. Cheryl's younger sisters marry either guys that look like me (Matt) or have the same name (Jason).

Caroline NEEDED to go to the Finding Nemo musical. It was actually an extraordinarily expensive looking and well performed show. I fell asleep at one point, but i've done that at shows on broadway as well.

Cheryl, Caroline, Uncle Matt and Casey on the Dumbo ride. Chery looked at this picture and said her co-workers would see it and say "Jay looks good here." So apparently she wishes I looked more like her sister's husband. Awesome.

We're halfway to Disney World. And I'm not as stressed leaving the house behind, because we have a house sitter this time. Hopefully he'll be well practiced at Mario Kart to give Caroline a challenge.
