Emma and her parents were gracious enough to host us for dinner tonight while Cheryl's away (Cheryl's pet allergies make it really hard to visit many friends). The girls played dress up and ate nearly nothing. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, and got to eat most of Caroline's too. Thanks for having us over!

Emma and Alec came by to play for an hour this afternoon.

Caroline is OK.

Caroline and I met with Dr. Kouri at Forsyth Pediatrics this morning to treat her illness. Apparently she has an ear infection. She's on a course of amoxicillin, and still extremely cranky.

It's nearly 11, and after a coughing fit Caroline got sick in her crib. So as I wash her sheets, she'll be sleeping with us again tonight. And she'll be the only one who sleeps.

My girls are both running fevers and have nasty coughs. Cheryl is going to Vegas tomorrow and returning Friday night, so it's going to be a long week for me.

We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner tonight to use up some nearly expired gift certificates because I love Cheryl and Caroline. The primary reason for posting these pictures was to remove the video of Caroline asking for a gun from the top of the webpage.

Dangerous Request

Caroline is obsessed with getting a gun.

The cooking class is Caroline's most anticipated activity all week. And next week she gets to go twice, as one of her friends is having her birthday party there. Score!

After avoiding eating for most of the day, Caroline worked up a sufficient appetite to put away nearly an entire Costco quarter pound dog. She's been below 30 lbs for a few weeks now, so hopefully this will help.

The playgroup went to Paige's birthday party this morning at the Little Gym. The weather is terrible, so this was a great way to get some much needed exercise.

We're visiting the grandparents Lerman this weekend, along with Aunt Kim and Cousin Adelaide. Now that Adelaide can walk, there's no telling what the two of them can destroy together.

Caroline made some very tasty baked ravioli at the YCA this week. My plans to have her take over the cooking will likely come to pass well after she realizes that most home cooked meals have more than 3 ingredients (as mine do) and I'll be forced to spend more time in the kitchen.

the rabbit at sciworks does not look well. But apparently that is just the way she sleeps.

Playgroup went to the Greensboro Children's Museum this morning. Caroline and I had never been, and she had a blast. It's significantly different than our museum, so it was worth checking out, but the drive was a bit long for regular visits.

She's all smiles now, playing in the backseat of this police car - but wait until she's involuntarily in one of these. It's not fun, especially when you're still twitching from the taser.

It's been awhile since our last story time at the Children's Museum.

Caroline attended her first class at Winston's new Young Chefs Academy. We've signed her up for a weekly one hour class, and it had better pay off - my dinner cooking days should be ending soon.

We hadn't been to Costco in nearly a week before this evening's trip.

Playgroup was at Miller Park this morning. The temperature was forecast to be close to 70. Unfortunately there was some unexpected rain shortly before playgroup started and the thermometer barely broke 60 - so turnout was a bit lighter than expected. But those of us there had a great time. Here, the kids are staring at sweet freedom, located just to the other side of this fence.
