Caroline slept from 9am until 10:30. She just finished eating 5.5 ounces. She's hanging out right now, digesting.

She's sleeping peacefully, but unfortunately it's time to walk to the school for a feeding.

I didn't hear her wake up at all last night. I woke her up at 7am by changing her diaper - and she was definitely not pleased. Fed her 3.5 ounces, and put her back in her crib, where she's getting in the sleep position.

After an hour of inconsolable crying, I took her for a walk which calmed her down momentarily. She ate another 5.5 ounces starting around 8:20. I changed her into her pajamas and she fell asleep almost immediately afterwards, around 9pm. The picture here is when we went out shopping this afternoon.

Caroline begged to go out, so we took a trip to Barnes and Noble to see Steph, then to Target and Linens and Things to look for a changing table. She just finished 5.5 ounces starting at 5:15.

She's starting to get fussy, and I want to take her for a walk, but there's a flash flood warning, so we're staying indoors.

Just changed the wettest diaper ever - but nothing had leaked out, thankfully. Was considering taking her to the afternoon Warthogs game, but there's a good chance of rain and thunderstorms. I hope to get her a Warthogs jersey soon.

Caroline woke up around 8:45, was happy and loud for about an hour, and then ate 4 ounces starting at 9:45. She's quietly hanging out in her jumperoo now.

She did it again -- this time in the jumperoo. I would have taken a picture, but I discovered the orange, gooey eruption when I picked her up and my arm was covered with the foul sticky mess, and my priority was to remove the glop from both of us and then the carpet. Yes, she fouled the carpet.

She's cute and quite explosive.

While I mowed the lawn, my girls caught up on their sleep.

She was making the hungry motions, so I just finished feeding her another 2.5 ounces to keep her happy until mommy comes home.

Extended family members reading this are encouraged to post comments.

She's still in her pajamas because I'm expecting bad things...

Fed her about 4 ounces starting at 10:10. The big one is coming...

Caroline woke up at 9:30, very wet, but ominously, only very wet. I'm going to feed her now.

Caroline is sleeping peacefully in her crib after her evening bath and feeding. She's been in there for a good 3 hours now. I've been taking baby breaks to go check out her angelic little face as I've been working on the massive amount of schoolwork I have to complete for tomorrow. Jay is taking a well-deserved break from his childrearing duties.

She just woke up from another nap. Her diaper was wet. She wasn't happy to be awake.

After a walk to the school for a fresh milk feeding around 11, Caroline took about a half hour nap in her stroller. She's hanging out on her animal mat now, cooing.

Caroline woke up slightly before 9am. She ate 4 ounces after a bit of a struggle. She's sitting in her bouncer now, and will get a change of clothes shortly before a trip to the school to bring some supplies to mommy.

After a mop off, then peeing all over herself, then a bath, then a change of clothes, Caroline is resting comfortably, her job done (hopefully) for the day.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8:05 am - very wet, changed her diaper. 8:57am - fed her about 5 ounces of milk. She's in her bouncer now, content.

Maybe it's her outfit that's tiring her.

Caroline had a tiring day. She went to Barnes and Noble to meet our former roommate Steph around noon. Then mommy came home around 1 to feed her, and she played in her toys for about an hour. She napped from 2:30 to 3:30, and then played for 45 minutes. She's been napping since around 4:15.

Caroline woke up from her morning nap around 10:05 with a very wet diaper. She's eating right now, and then we'll start today's physics lesson.

Monday, August 23, 2004

After a bad night, Caroline napped from 8:45 until about 10:20. Fed her about 4 ounces starting at 10:45. She's sitting in her bouncer now, making happy noises (which are the same noises she made about 1:30am last night, but they sound much better now).

Mommy was home until 2:45 today, so I didn't get the joy of keeping her from crying until then. There will probably be a trip to the mall in Caroline's near future.

She's sleeping on me now.

Caroline was up and dirty at around 8:15. Held her for a while after the diaper change, and then she played in her jumperoo and bouncer. Fed her 4 ounces from 9:20 - 9:40.

Wednesday, August 18, 2004

Caroline is extremely needy today, and begins crying if left unattended for more than 5 minutes. Fed her 4 ounces at 12:45. She's in the jumperoo now, sucking on her fists.

Daily Jumperoo picture. I think she's beginning to tire, so nap time can't be far off...

She was up and quiet at 8:30 when I went into her room. Changed her diaper - very dirty. She didn't like the diaper change at all. Calmed down when I put her in the bouncer. Feeding her 5 ounces now.

Caroline is all clean again.

My girls, one not so happy. Taken 1 minute ago.

She's napping again - started getting fussy about 20 minutes ago, and
is now in her crib, asleep.

Caroline slept from about 10:30 to 11:50. Fed her 5 ounces starting
around noon; she just finished eating and is talking to me from the
jumperoo.

Took Caroline for a 45 minute walk to the a mini mart to get some
coffee and a newspaper. She was alert but cool most of the way there
and slept most of the way back. An older lady customer at the store
had to touch her hand and talk about how cute she was, so her hands
were washed as soon as we got back. Fed her 4 ounces from 9:05 -
9:30. She's chilling in the bouncer now.

She woke up at 7:40, very wet. I had to change her sheet, but her previous caregiver failed to tell me where sheets were. Discovered she has a ridiculous collection of clothes, so many that she'll have to wear 3 or 4 outfits a day to get through them all. Considering not using diapers, and just letting her soil her clothes instead - we have enough such that they can be disposable.

Caroline is watching -

Caroline just finished eating about 4.5 ounces (starting at 4:05 and
ending at 4:33), and is pleasantly drowsy.

Nap time approaching. Played in bouncer and jumper for a bit, cried a bunch, and is now laying on me fighting sleep. Plan on feeding her in about 15 minutes.

Cheryl's first day of school (orientation), so my first day in charge. Grandparents Zukowski were here until about 12:45. We went outside and waved goodbye. Met the neighbor (Walker?) who offered to do our yardwork (not sure of the price). Caroline looked like she was about to cry, so we went inside and sure enough, she did. Held her until she fell asleep around 1, and then successfully transferred her to her crib. She slept until about 1:30, giving me enough time to eat some lunch. While checking her diaper, she ruined her outfit, so is now wearing a pink gap onesie. She's sitting in her bouncer now, getting fussy. Picking her up...
