We watched Alec again this morning. I think Caroline has a future in babysitting.

I took Emma and Caroline to see Mammoth Follies at the Children's Theatre this afternoon. The kids seemed to enjoy the giant dinosaur puppets singing and dancing. The adults needed drinks.

I took Caroline and Emma to storytime at the Children's Museum this morning. It was Abby's (the reader) final storytime. We've been attending since she was running it at Reynolda Library, and Caroline always looked forward to it. We'll miss you Abby!

Caroline made bran muffins at the Young Chefs Academy this afternoon. They were very tasty. I can't think of a bran muffin joke.

Alec joined us on our trip to SciWorks this morning. Caroline had an awesome time showing him around. She's really eager for a younger sibling - of course, she only sees the benefits and not the huge downsides like years of bad sleep and diaper changes. Unfortunately for her that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Caroline wins! She was the last one standing at the final art class at Sawtooth this morning (the other two were out sick, much to Caroline's disappointment).

If it's February 25th, we're eating at a local Mexican food restaurant.

We joined Sydney and Clayton at the Children's Theatre for a performance of Harry the Dirty Dog. I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats. I will see it again and again.

The kids enjoyed it too.

Despite the cold weather, the museum was unexpectedly not crowded this morning. Caroline had a time.

Caroline and I were on the local news again (1) (2).

This was recorded last week at the Little Gym, but it aired tonight on WXII.

Eagerly pets live snakes and old tarantula skins, won't get near dogs.

Playgroup met at Chuck E Cheese this week, making it two Tuesdays in a row that Caroline and I have been there. That's two Tuesdays too much this month. At least Caroline always has fun.

It was 60+ degrees this afternoon, so we went to Miller Park. I forgot my phone for pictures, but Caroline had a good time.

From her first Valentine's Day.

At playgroup this morning. It was awesome. Thanks Darcie and Sally for organizing this!

The backyard was covered with snow. But it was 20 degrees, and we had playgroup this morning, so Caroline didn't get to play in it. I don't think she minded.

It's snowing. Caroline is very very excited, and had to rush outside with me despite already being in her pajamas.

Cheryl came back this afternoon following a three day trip to Kansas City. Again, Caroline got gifts and I got nothing. Where's the love?

We met up with Emma and Alec and Chuck E Cheese after the art class. The girls still get more joy feeding their tokens into random machines than they get from actually playing any games. Tokens have to be regulated carefully with these two.

At the art class this morning, we made coil clay pots. Caroline's was pretty good, but nowhere near as fabulous as mine. 'A' for effort, little one.

With Cheryl away, I decided not to cook dinner for just me (since Caroline rarely eats anything I cook), and we went to the mall. She played for over an hour in the play area, and worked up quite an appetite for some Sbarro.

This morning, a crew from WXII filmed a segment about the Little Gym. It's supposed to air sometime next week.

Friday, February 08, 2008

On cold afternoons, we go to the mall far too often. The merry go round still makes me sick.

Ben feels pretty.

Hooray!
