It's been cold since Friday. The camera doesn't like taking pictures when it's cold.

Cold? Really?

Let's compare: Our concert band concert was canceled last Friday because it was cold. It was -20 degrees at 5 pm.

Now, camera, I ask you: Was it really cold where you were?

Melissa,
I was born in Malayasia, where it was considerably warmer. I was expecting to spend my life in San Diego; thank goodness my owners didn't move somewhere unspeakably cold like Nebraska. I find that any time the weather is below 45 degrees, I become sluggish and have difficulty focusing, so I prefer to stay indoors, even if it means that the little girl can more easily find me to rub her little fingers all over my lens. Please show some compassion for my miserable existence, and hope that Jay upgrades soon (although that may mean that I may become the property of his demon child).
Sincerely,
Jay's Camera

I think it is high time to replace the not so trusty camera if it chooses to refer to my niece as a demon child. In fact, I would simply toss said camera in the trash.

I totally disagree with my camera's characterization of Caroline as a 'demon child'. I am ready and willing to accept any replacement cameras sent our way (something like the 5 megapixel hp415 might be nice), and will sentence the old hp315 to live out its days as Caroline's first camera.
