Funny you should mention my dad's artistic side. Snake-charmer, dramatist...he can do it all. In fact*, Papa Steve was the 2nd choice to play the role of Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, after John Travolta. He lost out because his singing is so bad**, his childhood choir coach asked him to please just mouth the words...
