Caroline's gloppy, pink-eyes were getting better. She'd been on antibiotic eye drops since mid-afternoon on Friday. Then... she started rubbing her eyes at about 8pm. And...the left eye swelled nearly shut once more. It looks very, very itchy and painful. Methinks our wee one has some nasty pollen allergies. Where could those possibly have come from?

Oh. Right. Me. Curses!

Cheryl, are you sure she doesn't have pink eye?

I get pink eye with annoying frequency, and my eyes actually swell from it. It's quite disgusting.

Just thought I'd warn you, in case it's not allergies. I'm a bit of a pink-eye germaphob, though. . .

Hope Caroline feels better soon.

Well, we're still giving her the prescribed eyedrops. I'm just not 100% sold that it's pink eye. After a few good eye rubs, it was bright red and swollen again after 3 days on the mend.

And congrats on Sebastian's birth!

On Friday, only one eye was pink, and it had crusted shut after her nap. If it was allergies, I would have expected both eyes to behave the same way, and not crusted shut. She also spent very little time outdoors on Friday morning, so I'm pretty sure it was pink eye. And I'm a doctor, while Cheryl is not.
