The x-rays did not show any fractures. If Caroline is still limping around on Friday, we have to take her back to the doctor - sometimes the fractures take a while to appear.

We watched some Blue's Clues in our guest room (curled up under the covers for warmth - I was still sleepy from lunch) for a change of pace. When it was time for bed, she wanted to jump down from the bed. I held her hand and she jumped down...and immediately started crying. She slept fine, but apparently spent the am crawling around. I feel terrible.

sxUnless your guest room hs bunk beds and you were on the top bunk, I don't see any reason for you to feel terrible. Jumping isn't inherently dangerous - it's not like you could reasonably forsee* a foot injury.

Feel terrible when you roll up the car window onto your child's fingers (twice so far - once per child). But this? No.

*Yes, I watched Law & Order reruns last night.

Poor Caroline! I hope it's just bruised, not fractured.

Don't feel bad, Cheryl. You didn't do anything wrong. Kids cry all the time; how are you to know the one time it might actually mean something?

I'm 99.99999% certain that her foot isn't broken. 1 -- No bruising or noticeable swelling. 2 -- No complaints. 3 -- She ran around like a maniac at The Little Gym.

I think she's recovered. Phew. :)
